THE APARTMENT

We have a two bed apartment in Benalmadena Costa, Costa del Sol Spain. A small and very quiet, private apartment complex some residential but mostly holiday rentals.

There is a "Videophone" Entry system with secure underground parking. The complex has two pools a Gymnasium and a clubhouse, there is a Concierge on duty and available all week except Sundays.

The apartment block is under eight minute walk from a small beach cove with all facilities including, sun beds and shades toilets and snack bar. Many shops, restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. The apartments is tastefully decorated and furnished throughout, both have identical facilities one s on the ground floor street level the second is on the first floor service with either stairs or lifts.

The apartments both have separate fully equipped kitchens, the Lounge leads out to a large covered terrace with patio furniture. The views are most striking, an uninterrupted vista from the sea on the left directly overlooking the Torrequebrada PGA golf course round to the mountains on the right. 

Facilities

Hot and Cold Air Conditioning

Fully fitted kitchen consisting of Ceramic Hob and oven Extractor hood. Large Fridge-Freezer, Washing machine, Microwave, electric kettle, coffeemaker and toaster.

Lounge diner, dining table will seat six, twin sofas one converts to a double sofa bed. Freeview Box with some BBC channels, TV, DVD system, and a CD-hi-fi system.

The Lounge patio doors leading to covered terrace with patio furniture. Master bedrooms have double beds, bedside cabinets, Alarm clock, chest of drawers and large built in double wardrobe, single patio door leading to Terrace with security blind.  Fully fitted en-suite bathroom with bidet and shower.

Twin Bedroom, twin beds, wardrobe bedside cabinet and drawer unit, portable TV and games console.

There are second bathrooms with shower, hand-basin and toilet facilities.

Other equipment available for our guests use: Hair Dryer, spare bedding, Iron, table top ironing board, vacuum cleaner, and smoke alarm, folding seats for pool side use.

There are some board games for guests to use and book to read.

Our Apartment rental includes electricity, bed linen tea towels, and no bath/beach towels supplied. Change-over days are normally Saturday to Saturday other days are possible dependant on availability.
There is a weekly maid cleaning service with fresh linen.

There is an excellent bus service for getting to Fuingirola Malaga Benalmadena and Torremolinos. These buses run approximately every 15 minutes till around 04:00 in the morning. A typical price €1 to get to the Porto Marina which is less than ten minutes and three stops away.

There are reliable local taxis, Arroyo is the local train station nearest the apartment and it costs about €2 from Malaga to Arroyo.

We can provide reasonably priced English speaking pick up and drop off service to and from the airport. Alternatively we can arrange very low cost car rental from under €90 per week for a compact with A/C.

The Location: Benalmadena Costa

This is the coastal strip of the municipality enjoying a 9 kilometre stretch of attractive beaches and all the sporting and leisure possibilities of a busy resort town. You can stroll down one of the most attractive promenades in Europe and enjoy the relaxing blend of sea and sand as you're drawn in to seafront restaurants and shops. You'll soon come across the CASTILLO DE BIL BIL, a neo-Arab construction built in 1934. As well as a visitor attraction and wonderful viewing platform out over the Med, it's used by the Town Hall as an exhibition centre and a venue for various concerts and cultural events.

BENALMADENA MARINA (Puerto Deportivo)

The marina is man-made, created using artificial islands and has its own special ambience.  The Benalmadena marina is one of the most amazing port and residential developments in the world. It has model installations and an attractive, unique architectural style. It has been awarded the prize as the "best marina in the world" on two occasions, and since 1987 it has had the European blue flag due to the quality of its services and water.

It has 1,100 mooring places and offers a wide variety of activities and events, thanks to its facilities and the privileged climate of the Costa del Sol. All these factors contribute to making the marina and its surroundings one of the best places to enjoy the sea. The Nightlife in the Marina is spectacular, plenty of top class restaurants and low cost eating places from Pasta to Seafood to Chinese and Thai to South American Te-Mex and Steak Bars. There are numerous Discos and bars to cater for all tastes and ages The Port has the best night life on the coast Its climate, with 320 days of sunshine at year and an annual average temperature of 22C, makes it possible to engage in all sorts of tourist, leisure and entertainment activities.

ARROYO DE LA MIEL

The third part of Benalmadena, situated between the old town and the coast. It has a lively commercial and business buzz, and is also a pleasant residential area of 17000 inhabitants. The town of Arroyo de la Miel and local railway station are one bus stop away, with local bus stops less than eight minutes from the apartment.  The apartment is ideally situated for exploring the area with Fuengirola, Mijas and Benalmadena Pueblo up in the mountains are traditional Spanish "white" villages with excellent restaurants.

Malaga is close by and the recently opened Plaza Mayor is the place to go for night life and fun.  Local attractions include - Tivoli World, Parque de la Paloma, Aquapark and the luxurious 5* Torrequebrada Hotel, which includes the resorts only casino and spectacular cabaret show. The is a Mountain Cable Car  by Tivoli world and at the top of the mountain apart from stunning views there is a nature park and trail with Wild Birds of Prey demonstrations through out the year. There is two local Sea life Centres and many local markets.

Torrequebrada PGA Golf Course

The Costa del Sol is a superb destination for golf, with over 40 courses situated along the coast. Our apartment overlooks the Torrequebrada PGA golf course and is within walking distance to the "19th Hole". More details are available on request and bookings can also be arranged at concessionary rates. Since it first opened in 1976 this Pepe Gancedo masterpiece has been recognised as one of the most beautiful courses on the Costa del Golf and was the Venue for the Spanish Open 1977. Here, the tee shot is of prime importance. A wild drive and all may be lost as trees, woods, rough; bunkers and water are all very much to the fore. Should you be tempted to confuse short length with ease of play, the third hole - only 80 metres to a long and narrow contoured green - will soon disabuse you of this notion.

The small print! - A £100  non-refundable deposit is required on booking with the full balance due six full weeks before arrival date together with a £50GBP" breakage deposit" - refundable, assuming no breakages, one week after departure upon the returning of Keys. Rates are based on a minimum rental period of seven days and no more than four people should reside in the apartment during the rental period ( unless special arrangements are agreed  before hand).

Pets are not allowed under any circumstances.

Needless to say there is no liability for travel cancellation and delays, theft, damage, personal injury or loss of any kind on the part of the apartment owner. Guests are strongly advised to ensure that they take out adequate travel and personal insurance before embarking. Unless previously agreed, booking weeks run from Saturday to Saturday with checkout time set for 10:00 and arrival after 16:00, these times can be flexible but by special prior arrangment only.

Mid-week arrival and departure days will be considered, so please ask.
